Middleton Central (Town centre and surrounding area)
Saturday 1st May
Between 1.30am and 2am, officers received reports of a group of men fighting outside the Chicken Lodge Takeaway on Lodge Street. A 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital where he is still receiving treatment for a broken jaw. There are no descriptions of the other men and the circumstances of the incident are unclear.
Saturday 20th March
A man was stabbed in the shoulder after trying to stop his friend being attacked outside the Oddfellows Arms on Oldham Road at about 11.30pm.
Sunday 28th February
Police are hunting a man who hit a woman in the face with a glass. At about 1am, the 21-year-old Middleton woman was in the New Inn on Long Street, when she went to help a woman who had been knocked to the floor in a minor disturbance.
Tuesday 9th February
Officers are hunting thugs who carried out a cash-in-transit robbery in Middleton. At about 4.20am on, Tuesday 9 February, a security van was parked outside Halifax bank on Middleton Gardens. As the security guard left the van with a cash box he was confronted by an offender who raised his fist in front of him and demanded he handed over the box. He snatched the box, which contained a large quantity of cash, from the guard and ran off in an unknown direction.
North Middleton (Boarshaw, Cheapside, Slattocks)
Wednesday 16th June
A security guard had a machete held to his throat and was attacked with baseball bats at a cash and carry store. The guard was targeted by robbers when he was picking up cash from Booker Cash and Carry on the Stakehill Industrial Estate at about 5pm.
Sunday 14th March
Burglars broke into Crystal Doors on Hanson Street and stole a laptop around 9pm.
South Middleton (Alkrington, Birch, Rhodes)
Friday 30th April
An Audi A4 was stolen after thieves gained entry and stole the keys from a house on Mainway sometime between 6.30pm and 12.30am the following day.
Saturday 17th April
A van was stolen after thieves gained entry and stole the keys from a house on The Downs sometime around midnight.
Friday 16th April
Golfing equipment was stolen from a shed on St Dominic's Way after thieves gained entry sometime between 8pm and 8.20am on Saturday 17th April.
Tuesday 13th April
Five televisions were stolen from a house on Hardfield Road sometime between 11am and 11.45am on Saturday 17th April.
Saturday 20th March
A man was shot in the chest during an armed robbery at a Middleton bookmakers. The man was shot by a ball-bearing gun when two masked men went into the Ben Holmes bookmakers on Chapel Walk shortly before 11.45am.
Friday 12th March
A gang of Asian males burst into a flat on Baguley Crescent and assaulted the occupier before stealing property around 10pm.
Sunday 7th March
Property was stolen from a flat on The Meadows after thieves gained entry sometime between 4pm and 8.30pm.
Friday 5th March
Car keys and property were stolen from a house on Crow Hill South after thieves smashed a back door sometime between 5pm and 10.30pm. The car was not taken from the driveway.
Friday 26th February
Cash and alcohol were stolen from a house on Kings Drive after a patio door was smashed sometime between 6am and the following Monday morning.
Monday 1st February
Cash was stolen from David Roberts Physio on Mount Road after sneak thieves gained entry around 5am.
East Middleton (Junction, Moorclose)
Monday 15th March
Jewellery and cash was stolen from a house on Laburnum Close after thieves gained entry sometime between 2am and 6am.
West Middleton (Bowlee, Hollin, Langley)
Friday 26th February
Cash and electronics were stolen from a house on Cartmel Walk after a rear window was forced sometime between 3pm and 4.30pm.
